Introduction

The convergence of cyber and physical spaces has transformed traditional embedded systems into Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) that are characterized by tight integration and coordination among computing, networking, and physical processes. In CPS, various embedded devices are networked to monitor, sense, and actuate physical elements in the real world. Applications for CPS encompass a wide range of man-made systems such as aerospace and avionics, healthcare, transportation, automation, critical infrastructure monitoring, disaster response, and smart utility grid systems. In addition, the recent proliferation of smart phones and mobile internet devices, equipped with multiple sensors, can be leveraged to enable mobile CPS applications.

We are so delighted to invite two world class speakers, Prof. Kang G. Shing form university of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Prof. Raj Rajkumar from Carnegie Mellon University for the International Workshop on CPS 2011 at DGIST. Their experiences in CPS must be a great plus to CPS research groups in Korea. Also, we are inviting energetic researchers in Korea to this workshop.

We cordially invite you to join this international workshop at DGIST.RSVP is required. Please fell free to contact the workshop program coordinator, Prof. Taejoon Park, at tjpark@dgist.ac.kr or 053-785-6313 (office) or 010-9984-2389 (mobile) for your reservation. The reservation will be closed by April 3 (Sunday) 5:00PM. Thank you for interest and participation in advance.
